Applications are now being accepted for the 2024 WACCBIP Biotech Innovation and Entrepreneurship Programme for African Biotech Startups. This program aims to support the growth of groundbreaking biotech start-ups in Ghana and across Africa.
Program Components:
1. Entrepreneurship Training Course: Learn the essential tools needed to turn your biotech ideas into successful start-ups. This course is delivered in collaboration with the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) Innovation and Incubation Hub, the Office of Research, Innovation and Development (ORID), and the Institute of Applied Science and Technology (IAST).
2. Incubation Programme: Receive dedicated support and resources to nurture your business and promote growth and sustainability.
3. Funding Scheme: Access a tailored funding scheme to unlock the potential of your research projects and ventures.
Eligibility Requirements:
– WACCBIP fellows, interns, students, and alumni
– Young biological scientists and trainees
– Biomedical scientists and individuals passionate about developing biotech start-ups
Key Features:
– Gain a comprehensive understanding of the biotech ecosystem in Ghana and Africa
– Develop basic to intermediate skills in biotech entrepreneurship and product development
– Refine your biotech product ideas for marketability
Duration: The program consists of a five-day intensive bootcamp and a two-month incubation and mentorship program at the University of Ghana.
