Apply for the USADF African Women Entrepreneurs Program-Reimagined Grant For Women-Owned Enterprises
The USADF, in collaboration with the United States Department of State Africa Bureau, is pleased to announce the 2024 USADF African Women Entrepreneurs Program-Reimagined grant. We are now accepting applications for the second cycle of this grant, and we encourage eligible applicants from the following countries to apply: Namibia, Mauritania, Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire, Malawi, Uganda, and Zambia.
To be considered for this grant, applicants must meet the following requirements: the business must be woman-owned, 100% African-owned and managed, legally registered and operating in the country of application for at least 3 years, and have a banking history of no less than 12 months.
Here are the eligibility criteria:
– The majority of the business must be woman-owned and managed (over 50%).
– The business must be 100% African owned.
– The business must have been in operation and legally registered for at least three years.
– The business must be located and operate in a designated USADF program country.
– The applicant must have received approval from UEI (Successful UEI approval).
– A proposal for the use of the grant money is required.
– Business owners must not be government employees.
– The business must be an income-generating entity (cannot be not-for-profit).
Please make sure to submit the required documents, including ownership or shareholder documents, registration, and confirmation email of approved UEI from SAM.gov. All applications must be submitted by email to [email protected] no later than midnight on January 21, 2024.
