The UNICEF Internship Programme provides students and recent graduates from various academic backgrounds the chance to acquire practical experience with UNICEF through global internship opportunities.

Interns at UNICEF receive hands-on learning experiences in the humanitarian field and a valuable internship experience that will aid in their academic, professional, and personal growth.

Our Internship Programme allows students and recent graduates to gain firsthand practical work experience.

• Duration: Internships typically last between six and twenty-six weeks. They can be either full-time or part-time.

• Expenses covered: UNICEF offers a monthly stipend to interns. In cases where funding is available, a one-time lump sum may also be provided to assist with travel and visa expenses.

• Visa: If needed, UNICEF will supply the necessary supporting documents for visa applications.

ELEIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND REQUIRMENTS: UNICEF Internship Programs

Your profile may be suitable if it satisfies the following criteria:

1. You must be at least 18 years old.
2. You should be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or PhD program, or have graduated within the past two years.
3. You must be proficient in at least one of UNICEF’s working languages: English, French, or Spanish. Fluency in the working language of the office you are applying to may also be required.
4. You should not have any immediate relatives (e.g., mother, father, sister, brother) working with UNICEF, or any other relatives in your reporting line of authority.
5. You should have a strong academic performance and motivation.
6. Any professional experience relevant to the function you are applying for will be given additional consideration.
