The Thrive Philanthropy Grant Program is currently accepting applications for funding initiatives that aim to establish equitable, plant-based food systems by reducing animal consumption, addressing industrial animal agriculture, or promoting vegan advocacy.

The Thrive Grant is specifically designed for mid-size or larger organizations, as well as those with a proven track record of success.

Please note that only organizations outside of the USA or international chapters of USA organizations are eligible for this grant. Recipients are typically limited to one grant per year.

Emphasizing equity, proposals led by women, people of color, and other marginalized individuals are strongly encouraged to apply.

Funding Information for the Thrive Philanthropy Grant Program

The Thrive Grant provides financial support ranging from $10,000 USD to $50,000 USD.

Ineligible Funding:

– Cellular agriculture initiatives
– Projects or organizations that support or are neutral towards animal exploitation, including humans
– Organizations or projects that offer material aid or vegan food aid to the military or police
– For-profit entities, such as restaurants or businesses
– Food banks, meal distributions, hunger-relief efforts
– Campaigns related to farmed animal welfare
– Animal farming or other forms of animal use
– Projects involving animal products (e.g. animal-based food, leather)
– Political party affiliations or candidate endorsements
– Tuition, student research, university fees
– Work within the USA or international chapters of USA organizations
– Chapters of large international organizations

Eligibility Requirements for the Thrive Philanthropy Grant Program

Proposals that aim to establish ethical and sustainable food systems by reducing animal consumption, minimizing industrial animal agriculture, or advocating for veganism.
Conforms to Thrive Philanthropy’s policy on creating safe spaces.
Operates outside of the United States and/or is not an international chapter of a US-based organization.
Applicants must consistently exhibit a positive reputation among their stakeholders and community, and have the ability to contribute to Thrive Philanthropy’s positive reputation.
Excludes for-profit companies.
Occasionally provides funding to individuals in smaller amounts, but primarily focuses on supporting organizations through Thrive Grants.
Currently prioritizes organizations with a budget of less than $500,000 USD.
