Apply for the Startup World Cup competition ($1 million grand prize)

Startup World Cup is a global conference and competition that brings together the top startups, VCs, entrepreneurs and world-class tech CEOs. We are partnering with some of world’s largest conferences and tech events to host 70+ regional startup competitions for North America, Europe, Asia, South America, Africa, and Australia.

ELIGIBILITY

• We encourage startups in any domain, at any stage, to apply. Please note that the startup must be a legal entity not just an idea.

PRIZES

• The winner of the Grand Finale will receive US $1,000,000 prize in investment. It will either be in exchange for a portion of equity related to the most recent round of funding or a convertible note, depending on the size of the company and how much funding they have raised.

• They will also receive global exposure through media recognition from all of the journalists covering the event.

• Select sponsors will also be providing additional prizes to be announced. Last year included $30k in free legal services from Orrick and a Salesforce software package for the finalists.

• Startup World Cup will provide free event tickets FOR THE REGIONAL WINNERS to attend the Networking Party, and Grand Finale for the winning startup from each regional event. Flights may be provided by the regional partners or local sponsors in each country, but Startup World Cup does not cover flight tickets to the Grand Finale in Silicon Valley.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Applications need to be completed in one session. You are strongly advised to keep a copy of the information you provide, e.g., in a Word file.

2. A number of fields require text and indicate the maximum number of words you may enter. We recommend that you first develop your answer offline and then copy and paste it in the appropriate places. 

3. Once you have completed the application, be sure to submit it by clicking Submit at the end.

4. All applications must be submitted in English.

5. As part of your registration process, applicants are required to share the status of their registration through this social media link.      E.g. “Our team just applied to @SWCPTV #StartupWorldCup #YourCompanyName www.startupworldcup.io“. The registration is confirmed once the SWCPTV X / Twitter Account has liked your post on X/Twitter.

8. Top startups who are selected as finalists to pitch on the stage will be announced on regional site and on social media pages.
