Applications are currently being accepted for the second annual Dart Center Documentary Film Fellowship, an intensive weeklong program aimed at senior and mid-career documentary filmmakers seeking to enhance their understanding of emotional trauma and psychological injury. Participants will explore the ethical dimensions of documentary filmmaking and address various craft challenges while deepening their engagement with themes of violence, conflict, and tragedy. This fellowship is scheduled to take place from February 9 to February 15, 2025.
Requirements – Dart Center Documentary Film Fellowship
The Dart Center Documentary Film Fellowship is open to professional documentary filmmakers globally and will occur in Orlando, Florida, from February 9 to February 15, 2025. This weeklong event will convene 12 filmmakers with leading experts in trauma science and innovative documentary practices, fostering a collaborative environment for sharing ideas, experiences, and professional challenges.
Benefits – Dart Center Documentary Film Fellowship
The fellowship includes coverage for round-trip travel, seven nights of accommodation, meals, and expenses directly associated with participation, such as local transportation in Florida. However, it does not cover health or travel insurance, visa fees, additional lodging beyond the program dates, or transportation in the fellows’ home cities.
