Apply for the OMLA Fellowship Program For Young African Innovators ($500 fund+$50 monthly stipend)

One Million Leaders Africa (OMLA) OMLA annually recruits a number of young African talents who are awarded the OMLA Fellowship. OMLA Fellows undergo training in various areas such as leadership for a better future, sustainability, social innovation, and social entrepreneurship. We are actively seeking young individuals who are passionate about being part of the OMLA movement, which aims to guide Africa towards a better future by 2030.

The fellowship program lasts for one year, during which each fellow will receive a monthly stipend of $50 to cover internet and other training-related expenses. In addition to intensive training and networking opportunities, OMLA provides professional development support, including mentorship and a $500 grant upon successful completion of the fellowship.

Eligibility

  • To be eligible for the fellowship, applicants must be under 40 years of age,
  • based in Africa,
  • fluent in English, and
  • have a habit of reading.
  • should be able to assess at least three out of six recommended books within nine months.
  • Reliable access to a fast and stable internet connection is also required.
  • The fellowship is a part-time commitment, allowing fellows to continue with their current jobs. Travel may be required.

Curriculum

The OMLA curriculum consists of four phases: Skills (Community Change projects), Values (Leadership), African Studies, and OMLAx (OMLA Alumni community). The curriculum is designed to inspire and develop a new generation of leaders in Africa.

It starts with the OMLA Fellows and includes step-down approaches for OMLA Stars and OMLA Starlets, who are young leaders trained by the fellows. The curriculum focuses on leadership, sustainability, social innovation, and social entrepreneurship. To learn more about the program visit the website
