Applications open for Village Capital Greentech Africa investment-readiness accelerator
The Village Capital Greentech Africa investment-readiness accelerator aims to propel forward-thinking and sustainable solutions that actively contribute to enhancing resilience and combating the impacts of climate change in Africa. Supported by the Moody’s Foundation, the Africa program will prioritize startups led by diverse founders or those from Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, and South Africa, which champion sustainable solutions for marginalized communities.
Eligibility requirements: Village Capital Greentech Africa investment-readiness accelerator
– Must be a for-profit entity with legal incorporation and operations in Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, or South Africa.
– Should offer a market-based tech solution addressing the challenges in the aforementioned countries.
– Must comply with local fiscal and business regulations.
– Should have an MVP, some traction, and have raised less than USD 1M in equity.
– Must demonstrate meaningful customer or business validation, which can include successful pilot studies, user numbers, or strategic partnerships.
– Must have at least one full-time founder based in Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, or South Africa.
