Applications open for the UNESCO/APCEIU Youth Leadership Workshop on Global Citizenship Education
Applications are currently being accepted for the tenth iteration of the UNESCO/APCEIU Youth Leadership Workshop on Global Citizenship Education (GCED). The Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU) is dedicated to empowering young people by offering a vibrant platform for dialogue, idea exchange, networking, and mutual understanding on GCED and youth advocacy to foster positive changes towards a culture of peace on various levels. The Youth Leadership Workshop on GCED, hosted by APCEIU, has been conducted annually since 2015 in partnership with organizations such as the GCED Youth Network.
This year, the online Workshop will focus on the theme “Youth Voices for Transforming Education through GCED,” and welcomes youth leaders who are passionate about promoting global citizenship through education to engage in lively discussions and share experiences with fellow global citizens from across the globe. The Workshop is scheduled to take place from April 29th to May 10th, spanning a total of ten days. Participants who successfully complete the Workshop will have the chance to receive grants and mentorship for their future initiatives!

Small group discussion facilitated by the GCED Youth Network
- Online LIVE Workshop: 6 May – 10 May 2024
- Lectures & interactive activities on GCED with international experts and youth leaders
- Sharing of youth advocacy initiatives on GCED and action planning exercise
- Grant Competition: May 2024 (For Workshop graduates)
- Mentorship & Project Implementation: May – October 2024
