Applications Open For The QBE AcceliCITY Resilience Challenge (Up to $100,000 Prize)
QBE AcceliCITY is recognized as one of the top five GovTech accelerators worldwide. Its primary objective is to provide a platform for emerging urban solution providers to thrive while minimizing the risks and costs associated with innovation for cities.
During the QBE AcceliCITY Resilience Challenge program, participating teams engage in a web-based curriculum that focuses on business-to-government interactions. They also have the opportunity to directly interact with city leaders, gain access to our virtual LaunchPad 11 global community, and undergo an intensive Boot Camp led by international business, government, and smart city experts. QBE AcceliCITY organizes webinars and workshops specifically designed to assist companies in navigating the intricate challenges of working with governments, effectively conveying the value of their ventures, and establishing valuable connections within the extensive Smart and Resilient City ecosystem. The program concludes with pitch events where city pilot opportunities worth $150,000 are awarded.
For cities, QBE AcceliCITY offers significant value by mitigating the risks typically associated with innovation. It achieves this by connecting local governments with carefully vetted Smart & Resilient City solutions from around the world. With a large number of applications received annually from over 70 countries, QBE AcceliCITY’s rigorous vetting process ensures that only the most exceptional and well-prepared solution providers are selected. By fostering confidence in city leaders, QBE AcceliCITY empowers them to implement innovative solutions that enhance community resilience, particularly during times when it is most crucial.
