Applications open for the Pulitzer Center Africa Impact Seed Fund (from $2,500 to $4,500)
Applications are currently being accepted for the 2024 Pulitzer Center Africa Impact Seed Fund (ISF). The ISF, provided by the Pulitzer Center, aims to support educational and engagement initiatives that address the most pressing issues facing our planet’s ecosystems and communities. The focus of the 2024 ISF is on various topics such as rainforests, oceans, and climate change, with a specific emphasis on their interconnectedness with workers and vulnerable communities.
The Pulitzer Center is inviting passionate educators and researchers to transform their innovative ideas on climate and environmental issues into reality!
The Impact Seed Fund (ISF) is a small-scale grant offered by the Pulitzer Center to support educational, research, or scientific activities that enrich the perspectives and knowledge within the university community, particularly among students and educators. The ISF facilitates a deeper understanding of complex problems and encourages the exploration of solutions and innovations to address the impact of human activities on rainforests, oceans, and the climate crisis.
All proposals must incorporate at least one story reported by journalists supported by the Pulitzer Center and explain how it will be relevant to the project.
Eligibility Requirements: Pulitzer Center Africa Impact Seed Fund
– Applicants must be university professors or researchers affiliated with an institution.
– Applicants are encouraged to propose projects through a consortium of educators from universities in one or more regions of the country.
