The Power Learn Project (PLP) is a Pan-African social impact organization dedicated to empowering young Africans with essential tech skills and promoting comprehensive talent development. In partnership with The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund, the Power Learn Project presents a unique opportunity to enroll in the prestigious PLP Scholarship in Software Development.
This 16-week program involves intensive training in coding languages, as well as entrepreneurship and employability skills. Graduates of the program will emerge as junior software developers ready to kickstart their careers in the tech industry or launch their own tech startups. The application deadline is on 14th June 2024.
The 1 Million Devs For Africa Program offers a comprehensive Software Development training program designed to provide you with the essential tech skills needed to thrive in today’s digital landscape. With a hands-on and practical approach, you will engage in 16 weeks of self-paced online training, covering a range of programming languages such as Python and Blockchain 101. Our curriculum is designed to empower you for a successful career in the tech industry.
Who can apply for this program?
This program is fully sponsored and open to all applicants who successfully navigate our selection process and demonstrate proficiency in our computer literacy test.
Once selected, learners will participate in a virtual orientation session and begin their learning journey on our online platform. To be eligible for this program, you must meet the following criteria:
1. You must be above 18 years of age.
2. You should have basic computer literacy.
3. You must have access to an internet-connected laptop or PC.
4. You should be enthusiastic about acquiring new skills.
Acquire essential coding skills within a span of 16 weeks. The program provides certification in various coding languages including
- Python Programming,
- Dart with Flutter,
- Database Programming,
- Web Technologies,
- Soft Skills.
Additionally, our learners have the chance to gain practical experience through a “proof of work” methodology. This allows them to apply their acquired knowledge and develop valuable skills throughout their 16-week training.
