Applications are currently being accepted for the 2024 World Food Forum (WFF) Startup Innovation Awards. These awards, organized in partnership with Extreme Tech Challenge (XTC), aim to recognize and support entrepreneurs and innovators who are utilizing technology to drive sustainable change in the agrifood sector, with the ultimate goal of ending global hunger and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

The theme for the 2024 WFF is “Good food for all, for today and tomorrow.”
By participating in the WFF Startup Innovation Awards, finalists will have the opportunity to receive a travel allowance to attend the finals in Rome,
Gain global visibility,
Access potential funding opportunities,
Network with influential entities such as governments, United Nations agencies, corporations, investors, and partners,
Join WFF startup accelerator programs to further develop and scale their innovative solutions and technological advancements.
Additionally, a total of USD 30,000 in prizes will be awarded to the winners.

Here is the timeline for the awards: World Food Forum (WFF) Startup Innovation Awards

– May 8, 2024: The WFF Startup Innovation Awards will be officially launched during the UN STI Forum via our website and social media channels.
– June 8, 2024: Deadline for submitting new applications.
– June to October 2024: The WFF-XTC selection team will carefully review all applications and shortlist a group of startups to be featured on our website and participate in the semi-finals, which will take place in September.
