Applications open for the 2024 Global Cultural Relations Programme

Applications are currently being accepted for the 2024 Global Cultural Relations Programme. The Global Cultural Relations Programme (GCRP) is the flagship training initiative of the Cultural Relations Platform. It offers a unique opportunity for professionals from around the world to establish meaningful connections and engage in discussions on cross-cultural collaborations. The 2024 edition of the GCRP is open to cultural and creative professionals, as well as individuals working towards creating safer societies.

This year, the GCRP will be held in Marrakech, Morocco, from 25th to 28th November 2024. The programme will be conducted in English.

Eligibility Requirements for the Global Cultural Relations Programme

1. The Global Cultural Relations Platform is seeking 40 professionals and entrepreneurs who are actively involved in the cultural and creative sectors or are dedicated to creating safer societies. Priority will be given to applicants working in either of these two sectors. Applications from individuals not engaged in the cultural and creative sectors or in creating safer societies will not be considered.
2. Applicants should be between the ages of 25 and 39, with a minimum of three years of experience in global, international, or cross-cultural collaboration. They may be employed by a public, private, or civil society organization, or work as freelancers.
3. Selected participants must be available for the entire duration of the programme, from 25th to 28th November 2024, and should allocate sufficient time for travel to and from Marrakech.
4. Please be aware that full-time employees of any of the consortium partner organizations (Goethe-Institute e.V., IETM, European Cultural Foundation, University of Siena) or full-time employees of an EU institution, service, or agency are not eligible to participate in the GCRP.

Benefits of the Global Cultural Relations Programme

1. The Global Cultural Relations Programme (GCRP) offers several benefits to selected participants.
2. The programme covers the costs of travel to and from Marrakech, as well as accommodation from 24 to 28 November 2024.
3. Additionally, any expenses incurred during the programme hours, such as catering, will be covered by the programme.
4. However, it is important to note that if participants choose to extend their stay in Marrakech beyond the designated dates, they will be responsible for covering all related expenses for the additional days.
