Applications open for MultiChoice Talent Factory Academy Program
The 2024 MultiChoice Talent Factory Academy Program is now accepting applications. This 12-month industry readiness program, known as MTFza, provides aspiring individuals with the opportunity to learn from renowned professionals in the TV and Film industry. Participants will gain valuable experience in various areas such as directing, producing, cinematography, commissioning, and more.
MTFza is an educational program that focuses on developing emerging talent in the TV and film industry in Africa. It offers a comprehensive 12-month immersion program that combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience in cinematography, editing, audio production, and storytelling. This unique academy spans three regions and 13 countries across Africa, making it the first of its kind.
A total of 60 deserving candidates will be selected to participate in this funded program. They will have the chance to refine their skills alongside industry experts and innovators. The program is offered through accredited regional MTF Academies in Kenya, Nigeria, and Zambia, in collaboration with respected local academic institutions.
Eligibility
- To be eligible for the program, applicants must be South African citizens who have completed a 3-year Diploma/Degree in film and TV or a related field (such as Drama, Acting, Journalism, etc.) within the last 2 years.
- They should have achieved a minimum of a C+ aggregate.
Application
- To apply, interested individuals need to submit their CV (not exceeding 2 pages),
- a personal motivation letter (not exceeding 500 words) explaining why they should be chosen,
- a certified copy of their South African Identity Document, certified copies of academic transcripts or tertiary qualification certificates,
- a verified confirmation of banking details, and proof of residential address with an affidavit.
