The Lindau Noble Laureates Meeting For Young Scientists Worldwide in 2024 will focus on Physics and will commence on June 30th. Distinguished Nobel Laureates in the field of Physics will gather alongside invited Young Scientists from around the world. The evaluation process for the scientists who have been nominated or have applied for the meeting is currently in progress, and the application deadline has already passed. The results of the evaluation process will be announced in the spring of 2024.
Requirements
- The Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings are renowned conferences that attract approximately 30-40 Nobel Laureates and 600 exceptional Young Scientists from across the globe each year.
- These meetings, which alternate between the disciplines of Physics, Chemistry, and Physiology or Medicine, provide a unique opportunity to educate, inspire, and foster connections beyond cultural and political boundaries for the future leaders in science.
- Participating in a Lindau Meeting is not only a one-time chance but also grants Young Scientists membership in a special community—a network of excellence. As Lindau Alumni, former participants remain connected with one another and serve as ambassadors for the scientific dialogue nurtured by the Lindau Meetings.
Timeline:
August:
Young Scientists interested in applying for the upcoming Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting carefully review information about the current Academic Partners on our website and reach out to the relevant Academic Partners to learn about specific application requirements.
September/October:
Young Scientists apply to be nominated by their respective Academic Partners, who evaluate the applications and select their candidates for participation in the upcoming Lindau Meeting.
Young Scientists who are eligible to apply via Open Application submit their applications through the Open Application tool on our website, which is available online during the application period in September and October.
November:
Young scientists who have been nominated or have successfully passed the pre-evaluation of the Open Application process are required to complete an extended online application profile within approximately five weeks. The information provided in this profile will be used for the main evaluation of the applications.
December – February:
A scientific committee, appointed by the Council for the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings, evaluates the submitted applications.
February/March:
Once the evaluation process is completed, the Academic Partners and all applicants will be notified of the results. Those who have successfully passed the main evaluation process will be contacted individually and invited to attend the upcoming Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting.
