Applications open for FATE Institute Fellows Program 2024

The FATE Institute Fellows Program is a fellowship program that spans over 2 years. Its purpose is to bring together policy experts, economists, and academia in order to support the reform processes of entrepreneurship policies. These reforms aim to address the key gaps that are currently limiting the potential of the Nigerian entrepreneurship ecosystem.

We are delighted to announce that after the successful launch of the pioneer cohort in 2022, we are now accepting applications for the next cohort.

Eligibility:

1. A strong passion for working directly on policy issues that have an impact on the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Nigeria.
2. Academic excellence and the ability to contribute to the development of data, policy briefs, thought leadership, and reports.
3. The capability to engage in policy discourses and advocacy.
4. The ability to actively collaborate with the public sector in implementing policy recommendations highlighted in policy briefs.
5. A solid academic background, including an ongoing or completed PhD or Masters degree in economics, business, entrepreneurship, or related fields.
6. Relevant experience in policy processes, entrepreneurship ecosystem structures/segments, macro and micro economic indices, and other related areas.

Timeline

  • First Level Application opened on Nov 14, 2023
  • First Level Application will  close on Jan 12, 2023
  • Shortlisted candidates will be contacted on Jan 30 – 31
  • Second level application will open on Jan 30 – 31
  • Deadline for second level application is on Feb 14
  • Feedback to candidates will be from Feb 23 – Feb 24
  • Interviews are scheduled for  March 4 – March 8
  • Announcement of Fellows will be made between March 18 – March 19
  • Graduation of Pioneer cohort and the Induction of new cohorts will be on March 29
