The CRS Junior Professionals Program offers a unique chance for skilled, professional women in West Africa to channel their dedication to international relief and development work into a career at Catholic Relief Services. Throughout a 12-month period, each Junior Professional will enhance essential skills while collaborating with seasoned staff and contributing to vital programs. They will receive valuable mentorship and engage in regional networking to prepare for more significant roles within CRS.
EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL GROWTH
Hands-on learning: Junior Professionals will expand their expertise in project design, program management, monitoring, evaluation, accountability, learning, partnership building, and operations through practical experience and comprehensive training.
Guidance: Each Junior Professional will have a mentor who will offer active support, feedback, and career advice.
Tailored professional development: Besides the fundamental training, Junior Professionals will focus on a specific area aligned with their career goals, positioning themselves strategically for future roles at CRS.
Regional connections: Junior Professionals will be part of a regional community of practice to exchange achievements, obstacles, and insights gained from their work.

ELIGIBILITY FOR THE CRS Junior Professionals Program for West African Women
Candidate Profile:
We are actively seeking diverse and like-minded candidates who share our values and dedication to serving those in need, regardless of their faith or secular beliefs.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Possession of a Master’s degree in a relevant field (such as Economic Development, Agriculture, Health, Business, Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or Supply Chain).
2. Completion of the Master’s degree within 24 months prior to the program start date (October 2024).
3. A minimum of six months of relevant work experience, which can include internships, practicums, volunteer work, or paid positions.
4. Proficiency in both spoken and written communication in the official business language of the country (either French or English).
5. Citizenship of a participating country (please refer to the list above).
6. Ability to thrive in a collaborative and multicultural environment.
7. Willingness to travel, with up to 25% of the time spent on travel.
8. Willingness to be stationed in field offices outside of the capital city during the JPP program year and after program completion.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
2. Agile, proactive, resourceful, and results-oriented mindset.
3. Excellent presentation and facilitation abilities.
