Applications now open: IAS Person-Centred Care Advocacy Academy Fellowship
Applications are currently being accepted for the 2024 IAS Person-Centred Care Advocacy Academy Fellowship. This initiative will grant fellowships to 15 advocates who will participate in a series of interactive workshops.
The academy is a collaborative effort between the International AIDS Society (IAS) and the Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ), in partnership with Gilead Sciences. It aims to support individuals from central, eastern, southern, and western Africa who seek to enhance their advocacy skills to improve person-centred service delivery initiatives.
The goals of the fellowship include: IAS Person-Centred Care Advocacy Academy Fellowship
– Providing training and skill development focused on contemporary person-centred care methodologies and the challenges associated with their implementation.
– Creating resources to spread awareness about person-centred approaches and their significance to a broader audience, including policymakers, media representatives, and program managers.
– Facilitating interactions with prominent researchers and advocates in the field.
– Assisting participants in identifying service delivery gaps within their communities and formulating action plans to address these issues.
Eligibility Criteria – IAS Person-Centred Care Advocacy Academy Fellowship
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
– Possess a strong command of the English language.
– Have at least two years of experience as an advocate or healthcare provider (including peer educators) in the HIV sector.
– Be affiliated with HIV-related associations, groups, or committees located in central, eastern, southern, or western Africa.
– Show a keen interest in person-centred care methodologies.
