Applications now open for the IAEA Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme
Applications are currently being accepted for the 2025 IAEA Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme. This initiative, known as the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme (MSCFP), is designed to enhance the representation of women in the nuclear sector, fostering a diverse workforce of both genders that contributes to and propels global advancements in science and technology.
Named in honor of the groundbreaking physicist and two-time Nobel Prize winner Marie Skłodowska-Curie, the Programme seeks to motivate and support young women in their pursuit of careers in the nuclear domain. It offers scholarships for Master’s programmes to highly driven female students, along with the opportunity to engage in an internship organized by the IAEA.
Selected candidates for the IAEA Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme are granted scholarships for Master’s programs in nuclear-related disciplines at accredited institutions. Additionally, they have the opportunity to engage in an internship organized by the IAEA for a duration of up to 12 months.
MSCFP Award – IAEA Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme
The IAEA Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme provides students with funding of up to €20,000 for tuition fees and an additional €20,000 for living expenses during their Master’s studies.
The IAEA MSCFP is available to students from IAEA Member States who fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
– Female applicants;
– Must be accepted or currently enrolled in an accredited university for a Master’s program in a nuclear-related area.
Preference will be given to those with above-average academic performance (75% or higher or a GPA exceeding 3.0 on a 4.0 scale).

This IAEA Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme aims to support young women pursuing studies in nuclear-related fields pertinent to the IAEA’s mission of promoting the safe, secure, and peaceful applications of nuclear science and technology. Relevant areas include nuclear engineering, nuclear physics and chemistry, nuclear medicine, isotopic techniques, radiation biology, nuclear safety, nuclear security, non-proliferation, and nuclear law. Application – IAEA Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme
To apply, please ensure you have the following documents in addition to the completed online application form:
– A copy of your Passport or National ID
– An official acceptance letter from the university confirming your admission to the master’s program, specifying the nuclear-related field of study and the program’s duration
– A statement detailing tuition fees or a confirmation of tuition costs
– If applicable, documentation regarding any other scholarships you have secured for the master’s program for which you are requesting MSCFP support
– Completed reference templates, which must be submitted directly to MSCFP by your referees by the application deadline (the form can be downloaded here). One reference is required, while a second is preferred.
Please note that all application documents for the IAEA Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme must be submitted in English through the MSCFP online application form. If any documents are provided in their original language, an official English translation must also be included. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
