Applications are currently being accepted for the J.P. Morgan Jumpstart Internship Program for the year 2025. The South African franchise of J.P. Morgan is inviting unemployed graduates to apply for this program.
As a 2025 Jumpstart Intern in J.P. Morgan’s Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB), you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a world-class organization in the South African franchise. You will be placed in one of our lines of business, such as Banking, Markets, Operations, Finance, or Technology. Throughout the program, you will have the chance to be mentored by our professionals and leaders, both locally and globally.
The program will take place in Johannesburg and will run from January 2025 to December 2025. There is also a possibility of renewal until December 2026. If you are shortlisted for the 2025 Jumpstart Internship Program, you will be required to successfully complete a 3-week Winter Internship Program during the winter university vacation period in 2024 (1 July 2024 – 19 July 2024).
As an intern, your responsibilities will include performing tasks and receiving training based on your placement area. You will actively participate in projects from start to finish and provide support for tasks related to your assigned area.
Eligibility for the J.P. Morgan Jumpstart Internship Program
To be eligible for this internship, you must have the right to work in South Africa.
You should also be in your final year of a Bachelor’s degree with strong academic results (all faculties are welcome). Fluency in English is required, and you should possess a self-starter mentality with the ability to work under pressure.
Good communication and listening skills, attention to detail, logical thinking, and strong organizational skills are also important.
Additionally, you should have strong analytical and management skills and be able to meet strict deadlines.
