Accepting Entries: The Allan and Nesta Ferguson Scholarships for African Students to study in UK

The Allan and Nesta Ferguson Scholarships for African students to pursue their masters degrees in the UK is now open and accepting entries. The program is available to international students who have applied to study a full-time one-year Master’s course in the School of Global Development at UEA. Applications are accepted from individuals who must be nationals of or permanent residents of one of the countries listed below: The Eligible Countries are:
  • Afghanistan, Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi,
  • Cambodia, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo, Congo (DRC), Côte d’Ivoir
  • Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia
  • Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia
  • Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mozambique, Myanmar
  • Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Rwanda
  • Senegal, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria
  • Tanzania, Timor-Leste, Togo, Uganda, Vanuatu, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe

Academic Excellence: ​​Must meet course requirements. Benefits
  • Each of the scholarships will fund each student’s tuition fees and provide a maintenance grant of £12,000 for them to cover the costs of living/ travel/ visa.
  • This scholarship awarded will be done on the basis of financial need of the applicants from the countries.
