2024 National Girls in ICT Competition For Young Nigerians is now open
Applications are now being accepted for the 2024 National Girls in ICT Competition. The National Girls in ICT Competition is an exciting opportunity for girls in secondary schools to showcase their skills, creativity, and innovation in various ICT-related domains. This initiative, led by the Federal Ministry of Communication, Innovation, and Digital Economy, aims to empower girls and bridge the gender gap in the ICT sector.

Process
- To participate, simply register for the competition through the provided registration portal.
- You can also form a team with the support of your teachers and work together to identify a problem in your community and develop a tech-based solution.
- Additionally, there will be a 5-day training program across states to further enhance your technical skills. Regional competitions will then be held to showcase your solution and qualify for the national stage. Finally, you will have the opportunity to present your innovative solution in a virtual pitching competition evaluated by qualified judges.
Rewards
- Participants in each stage of the competition will receive rewards and recognition.
- Stage 1 participants will receive an e-certificate and guidelines to set up girls in ICT clubs.
- Stage 2 participants will receive honorable mentions, certificates, and access to online courses.
- Stage 3 participants will have the chance to win scholarships, laptops, trophies, and certificates.
